... this is a wild ride! The horror and ghost story both were done superbly. Hill tightly plotted his story to include a lot of detail, but moved the narrative at a faster pace than do most of today's horror writers. Hill tightly plotted his story to include a lot of detail, but moved the narrative at a faster pace than do most of today's horror writers. Hill did stretch the bubble on the gore factor but he still stayed in the area of my acceptance. The idea of buying a ghost, which kicks the entire thing off, is quite unique. Hill also comes up with canine ghosts to protect the hero. I'll have to research that. It may be a first. Anyway, this was a ghost story I'll re-read several times.
