My favourite Dickens book, I could read this over and over. It has so much depth, and fantastic memorable characters. It's both fun and dark all at the same time. Pure genius.
Kind of a trashy read, but really enjoyable. Slightly more on the romantic side than I'd like though, and I think there are are better 'urban fantasy' books out there (the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs for example). If you're interested in Reiki, this is THE book to have. It contains an extremely comprehensive and factual (or as factual as is possible to date) history of both Japanese and Western systems, and how the two have developed. There are a lot of myths about Reiki out there, this book helps to dispel them. Not only that, but it's also an incredibly useful resource - it contains a comprehensive Reiki glossary, an entire section devoted both to original Japanese and Western techniques, along with branch listings and other useful tidbits.
It's also a damn good read, and a book that I will no doubt be constantly referring to.
Whilst not my favourite in the series so far, Blood Rites was still a page turner, and definitely fleshed out more toward the end. We see a lot more of Thomas in this book, along with the White Court vampires. We are also let into a Dresden family secret, which was quite a surprise.

Witchling
This book is the most horribly written book I've come across in a long time. Abandoned after 35 pages (which is unlike me).

Looking forward as ever to reading the next book.
