This is by far the best graphic novel of all times. Dark, political, decadent, amazingly sad but beautiful. This masterpiece by the genius of Alan Moore can by all means be considered a piece of literature, something that should be taught in schools and read by everybody, not just comics lovers. Try it, you won't regret it!

PS: DO NOT watch the film that recently came out if you love this book!

I approached the comic because of the film, without realizing how hollow the film would become after you've read the actual novel by Alan Moore. Well, I'm glad I did read it because the story the characters and everything else are far some interesting and deep than the film. From now on, I won't probably watch the film any more....
