Spellbound continues on from Waking The Witch - literally the same night - so reading this straight after is actually pretty cool. I think both books could have been combined into one single volume without any loss (making the book longer, of course) and there are some nice scenes where you find out a bit more about the characters from other books - Elena and Clay, Jeremy, Jaime, and Cassandra to name but a few. The story moves smoothly along and it was hard to take breaks away from it.
The relationship (or non-relationship) between Savannah and Adam is interesting and, at times, painful to witness as they awkwardly dance around each other but it's offered in such a realistic way that while at times you want to bang their heads together, at others you really feel sorry for them!
When I reached the end I was seriously disappointed - not in the story but because Kelley really does a number on us! I now desperately can't wait until the next (and last) book in the series. I'm left with many questions which I'm sure will be answered in the next book so although I'm sad that the Otherworld series is coming to an end, I can't wait to get my hands on it!
Well done, yet again.
