One common problem of conducting cross cultural research is the interpretation is wrong. Although this book has a lot of interesting facts about how people conceive time throughout history, it poses a danger of misleading the reasons of some of the facts to the public. Especially Japan, and I have to admit that I noticed Those false interpretations about Japan probably just because I know Japan more than other countries that are in the research. Maybe people from other culture will have other opinions. Still, I’m glad to see a book of social science contains interesting research studies. An interesting account of how people in different cities/culture values time, punctuality, waiting. The book was published a lost two decades ago. I can't help wondering what the results will be if similar studies are conducted today.
