An interesting book for interesting times. Given that we are in a social distancing lockdown for the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, I thought it may be a good time to review a (fictional) chronicle of the city of London going through the plague of 1665. The story was interesting from a human interest standpoint in that our nature never seems to change when faced with looming personal and societal threats. It is interesting to compare their knowledge of what they knew of the cause of the threat and how to cure it vs. our modern-day scientific knowledge of the pandemic we are facing and how to prepare for and combat it.
