Inghilterra vittoriana

Leggere questi romanzi ti fa vivere un'epoca per molti versi incredibile, per lo sfarzo, l'ipocrisia e la divergenza tra ricchi e poveri.
Ma Agnes Grey ce la fa, riesce a ricavarsi, nonostante tutto, il suo piccolo angolo di felicità.

Poor Agnes! I´m sure she would rather go back home... The story is told by Agnes herself, a young girl who wants to be governess but don´t know anything about the world...
