The summit is a tense situation. The vampire queen of Louisiana is in a precarious position, her power base weakened by hurricane damage to New Orleans. And there are some vamps who would like to finish what nature started. Soon, Sookie must decide what side she'll stand with. And her choice may mean the difference between survival and all-out catastrophe.
...ContinuaI liked this one, it's not as good as the previous one, but still amusing and interesting. I could notice the first appearance of Russell Edgington, a character I thought was created only for the show. I personally think the queen Sophie-Anne should've had a sort of leading role on this book and not just be Sookie's employer.
...ContinuaOnce again a brilliant read this was one of my favourite books of the series mainly because it was loaded to the gills with vampires! Sookie goes off up to the vampire summit in Rhodes and while there we meet an array of new and interesting characters, both vampire and human. My favourite fun addition was her roomie Carla who paraded around naked 90% of the time.
Other than that the plot was good and it was really good and brave of the author to include the effects of Hurricane Katrina on the characters in the book. The ending was also spookily like another well-known American disaster and not a natural one. But it was a very good finale. And by the way I think there may be something wrong with me because I just cannot warm to Quinn. I love Eric and I need Sookie to realise that too!!
...ContinuaSookie Stackhouse gets better every time! In this adventure Sookie is hired by the Queen of Louisiana to join her along with Eric and Bill at a summit meeting up north. Of course where ever Sookie and vampires go trouble follows. And not long after arriving the murder and chaos begins. This one was action packed and has a great mystery to solve. Something tells me everything wasnt completely solved and we'll discover more later on. I cant wait to start reading the next one!
...ContinuaI actually like the author's black humor in this book. It just make me laugh sometime. Overall, it was good, but the ending and the process of making deduction was kinda weak, and it jumped to the result too fast. However, I think it is still a good novel and worth of reading though.
...ContinuaThe plot is getting very complex for such a light-hearted novel!
