I can't count the number of times we've read this book. The version we've got is pretty old as it's a second hand copy that the grandparents bought my husband when we he was little, so pages have been turned (and torn and cellotaped, too) I don't know how many times. Still Bears in the Night is our son's favourite book. By far. He asks for it all the time, he even "reads" it himself and imitates the noises we make when reading it to him.
I must say, though I was a bit reluctant to read it at first. With only a word or two per illustration I couldn't see the point of the book. It turned out it's very well-written. Those two-three words/page are well-thought and create a great story for children. Our son still being too young to read by himself, we read it to him, but I can see that with these great illustrations and words first-time readers will enjoy the book too....Continua
