The best parts are Wallander's. I miss him so much! Sometimes Linda's character drives me crazy.
I've read 9 books of the Wallander Series and this is the first one that truly disappoints me. It just doesn't 'feel' like a Mankell book - there is nothing here about the well-developed characters and their relationships that are present in all previous books. The story is not as strong as previous ones and Linda's antics just made me want to stop reading.
Linda Wallander, is definitely not a likable character. I doubt Mankell will have the same kind of success with a series about this disrespectful brat.
The audio book has a new narrator than only makes things worst. I don't think she has knowledge of the characters or a real feel for them. A really bad choice of narrator!
