Bello bello bello, é il primo libro di McEwan che leggo e sicuramente recupererò anche gli altri! Questo libro ti assorbe, hai il bisogno di arrivare alla fine per capire dove l'autore andrà a parare. Assolutamente consigliato!
Un testo scritto (e tradotto, dato che l'ho letto in italiano) in modo superlativo. Un'ossessione che tiene appiccicati alle pagine e che fino all'ultima non si riesce a prevedere. Le vite dei protagonisti sconvolte e sballottate da un amore forse immaginato, forse maniacale, come la mania di Parry per la religione, per Dio. Joe, oggetto del desiderio di Parry metterà in discussione il suo legame con Clarissa e metterà in discussione se stesso, per poi ritrovarsi e ritrovare la sua solita vita. Letto in un paio di giorni, e solo perché avevo degli impegni urgenti, altrimenti non me ne sarei staccata se non all'ultima riga.

I'd say that this books is to thrillers what Vladimir Nabokov's Lolita is to pornography.
Had an odd relationship with this book, rather like the odd "relationship" described in it. I thought it was annoyingly clammy and unpleasant in places but I also had an odd fascination for the story that kept me going with it. Beautifully observed and written, though.
