I will go back reading it, one day...
it feels like I'll need to find the energy to make it through but probably would deserve the effort

Romanzo storico dettagliato come un saggio, del quale però non ha l’imparzialità, l’analisi critica e il riferimento alle fonti… avrei preferito leggere un romanzo più scorrevole o un vero e proprio saggio

Hard work but worth it

I'm a bit of a classics freak, so had been meaning to read this for ages. Found it hard going in places, but also quite enjoyable (want to read the sequesl "Claudius the God". Would like to get the TV series and see how it compares.
