The plot in itself is nothing extraordinary: good enough for the genre and would have worked as well without the supernatural background of the main characters, which keep being funny and realistic (as far as it goes being werewolves and other things..).
An enjoyable company, handy when there's nothing more "important" to read in sight.
In this third book of the series, we get more involed in a few more characters lives, solve an awesome mystery, and learn more about Mercy's past. This series just keeps getting better and better. If you like Karen Chance, Kim Harrison, or LKH, you'll love Patricia Briggs.
...ContinuaI love this series, with this one being the best one yet. The characters are very complex and interesting. This one focused a bit more on the fae, but all the werewolves we've come to know and love are very present.

A lot of the paranormal series seem to focus a bit much on graphic sex. This one doesn't, and I rather like that. The author manages to focus on the relationships and emotions, without giving us detailed visuals.
...ContinuaBrilliant. Mercy ends up with the right guy, as far as I'm concerned - I won't tell you which one. As usual, Patricia weaves a story that keeps you interested and questioniong almost to the last page. And, hopefully, there's more to come!
This book was very good until she decided to bring the book to a close using a rape to solve the mystery, bring the couple together for a much needed talk, and to get Ben to open up about his past.
