Great plot. The film version is slightly different with a different ending which was probably better for a film, but overall the book is a better story. "prot" claims to have come to EARTH on a beam of light from his home planet of K-PAX. He finds himself at the Manhatten Psychiatric Institute under the care of Dr Brewer. The dialogue between "prot" and Dr Brewer is engaging and entertaining. It is a light but well written read - a "can't put down" book that keeps you interested and entertained but also educates you into how mental conditions are treated. I couldn't wait to get to the end to discover prot's fate and can't wait to read K-PAX II & III....Continua
I think the book is less known than the movie. It's a shame. The dialogues are something out of the blue. You wish Prot is for real.
listened to it on the way to the cabin... It was only 3 hours and made the time go by faster.
