Good plot but the ending was a disappointment. The book is heavy on sarcasm but no real humour behind it.
I liked the premise of this book and a few scenes I felt were well done, and that's about it. First off, I found it rather irritating that the author chose to largely ignore the "common knowledge base" of vampire lore when constructing her vampirish creatures. However, I do have to admit that I did enjoy her brief nod to Sesame Street - vampires as compulsive counters - lol. Some awkward phrasing and a little trouble defining her characters also created some humorous moments but I doubt that the author intended them so I can't really give her credit for them.
