Another amazing novel from Candence Bushnell. The woman is so so descriptive that you feel that you are living as a fly ion the wall in these other womens homes. Such a great book with lots of laughs and a occasional cry.
There are two reading keys for this book. You can appreciate the author's ability to build up three stories of successful women, effectively entwining the plot and leaving no chance to bump into dull moments. Or you can realize that years of female emancipation have brought women and men to play the same game with the same rules and one goal: be extraordinary rich, possibly with a terrace over Central Park. Easy and interesting. Bushnell wrote it in simple and straight forward language. I like the three main characters, the successfull businesswomen in their early forty.
But Bushnell seldom linked them together, making the whole book like three separate and independent stories. She also used too much confusing flashbacks....Continua
