This was my first try with the "Master of Horror". Mr. Mercedes is really a cop novel (ex-cop is more accurate) and it is my cup of tea more than horror. The novel is really good: where it lacks in the plot, mystery and ending (all pretty predictable for an experienced crime novels reader like myself) it gains points in term of depth of the characters and in an overall great writing. I've listened to this book on audio and I'd like to highlight the remarkable performance of Will Patton.

Un giallo (psicologico??) con un protagonista simpatico ma nulla di più'. Nessun colpo di scena, l'aiuto dei due in erba e' scontato, mi e' parso più' un libro tipo Patterson che un King...
thriller spettacolare con un finale da cardiopalma. Uno di quei libri che, leggendoli sul treno, ti fanno dimenticare di scendere alla tua fermata (è quasi successo davvero). Consigliatissimo
