Nice to read about The United Tastes of America, Coca Cola. Not really of story of : do like this and you will be as successful, but more a historical account of how Coca Cola got started and what happened inside/outside the company.
Interesting how early Coca-Cola success lead to a whole slew of others Cola’s (Afri-Cola, Kaw-Kola, Toca-Cola, Kokola, etc.etc; the fate of many successful formulas) that initially was successfully battled in court. When cola became a household name, that fight in court was no longer possible. Some (maybe) surprising facts: selling coke was forbidden in France by a law for a while and Fanta got started in wartime Germany.
Just to note: Coco-Cola uses secrecy for the Merchandise formula (meaning the formula itself is not patented, as far as I know). A personal tip: if you ever have an extra day in Atlanta, do visit the Coco-Cola museum. It was good entertainment....Continua
