A very interesting book on a very focused theme - the special operations undertaken from high medieval to early modern era. The books makes a comparison between modern and contemporary special operations and then describes six medieval special operations - the latter part is really interesting, almost like a novel. I suggest this book to anyone wishing to learn about medeival warfare outside the usual "knight & siege" themes.
