Actually I finished this about 12 years ago. I just remember that some of my interpersonal relationship problems were solved because of the explicit explanations and viewpoints of this author.

This book won't help you with your status anxiety but could serve as an introduction to how (Western) civilization has handled this issue, interesting. I often skipped the parts where Alain tries to talk his reader out of the anxiety over status. ...Continua
