I loved this book by Paul Auster, and I confirm him as one of my favourite american writers.
Fine flowing actual language, with studied and incisive vocabulary. His cynical irony envolves also on sad and uneasy matters.
The event takes shape little by little. Slowly but so interesting.
The protagonist begins sort of journey alone, with minimum targets.
However life brings him weird surprises, that built up a singular castle of lives in which he would be an important character, more than he could have ever been figured out.
I imagined, as often happens in Auster’s novels, he himself in the protagonist shoes.
