the book keeps surprising you, it goes where you don't expect it, it pushes boundaries, taboos, it is absurd and it is very honest and real and very Miranda July-ish. I loved it. Some passages and turn of phrases are really poetic, really memorable. Not for everybody, not a masterpiece, but I am glad she wrote it. Listening to her reading it a definite plus, her deadpan voice fundamental.
