Promoted as "the occult twin to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland," this is an extraordinarily bizarre book. The initial premise of an older lady committed to an institution, it moves from that highly relatable situation to an eye-crossingly confusing glimpse into an occult world.
Some might enjoy this, but it is not an easy, fun read.

I don't usually read like that, but for this book it somehow works. I wouldn’t go so far as to say it’s unputdownable, but it can be hard to let a day go by without...you know. (probably owing to the fact that the characterizations are simply savagely funny.) (sometimes too savage...)
After all, I guess I will never look at old ladies in the same way again.
