I got the feeling I was reading a script, rather than a novel. Rich in events, but unfortunately very poor when it comes to characterisation - throughout the whole story people appear to be either completely good, or totally evil, and behave accordingly, all the time.
A fast read, boring at traits but not totally worthless. Ending excluded - a few of the scenes (the half dead woman, who could hardly stand, wearing her bridal dress; her detached head still speaking) were utterly ridiculous, and I might have laughed if only they hadn't been so embarrassingly clichéd.
Hellraiser is one of the best horror movies of all time...never mind the sequels.
