There is more going on in this novel than initially meets the eye. The author uses parallelism - a woman author writing about a woman author writing about a woman author writing a book - to give the reader what is essentially a glimpse behind the curtain. Too bad for the last chapters: a disappointing end
A strong thesis (and, no, it's not outdated), well developed and put to test. An intriguing story, told by a meaningful voice with a lot of intelligent insights.
It really spoke to me. If only I'd read it earlier, I would have loved to send the writer a thank-you card. If only.
