Featuring Jack Reacher, hero of the new blockbuster movie starring Tom Cruise, in an explosive follow-up to the cliffhanger ending of 61 Hours.
Has Jack Reacher finally met his match?
61 Hours ended with Reacher trapped in a desperate situation from which escape seemed impossible. Even for him.
Was that really the end of the road for the maverick loner?
Worth Dying For is the kind of explosive thriller only Lee Child could write - a heart-racing page-turner no suspense fan will want to miss....Continua
Actually the most light-hearted and humorous of Child's works. All of the Reacher novels are very good, and they read like one long story... sort of. They are, in sequence (I think), so far: Killing Floor, Die Trying, Tripwire, Running Blind, Echo Burning, Without Fail, Persuader, The Enemy, One Shot, The Hard Way, Bad Luck and Trouble, Nothing to Lose, Gone Tomorrow, 61 Hours, and Worth Dying For....Continua
Not one of the best Jack Reacher novel, but...worth reading anyway!
I was looking forward to something more related to the previous story, while there's very little to link the two books, and especially very little explanation of what really happened after the 61st hour (How did Reacher manage to save himself from the fire?? Did he climb on the truck and kill the two guys who had caused it?? It's not very clear, at least not for me).
On the other side, for those who complained that in 61 hours Jack only killed a couple of people, here he fights a lot and kills quite a lot, both with weapons and barehanded.
Now I'll have to start waiting again for the next story, hoping he meets Susan in Virginia!!!
