What a pity
Dune could have been a masterpiece, for its setting, for the plot, for the overall unworldly atmosphere carried on throughout the book. But it's way too long, and in many occasions way too boring.
Plus, Herbert uses too many "Dune expressions", which distract you from the story, trying to remember what they mean.
I couldn't get to the end. I really tried tho. (5/10)
