Description
From the very beginning, Enzo Cucchi's work has been characterized by its originality. He has made several open-air sculptures, and after a visit to Israel, the artist, commissioned by the Tel Aviv Museum, designed an enormous piece for the Museum's sculpture garden. Cucchi's mosaic is of coloured granite, featuring three recurring motifs: a tall cypress tree, a map of Tel Aviv as a port city, with bays and islands rich in vegetation, rain and rainbows.
