"Impact" is out of this world. Simply put, Douglas Preston has crossed overinto a new frontier of thriller . . .

Original and well done.
Douglas Preston presents a story that could very well be another variation of "The Day the Earth Stood Still". This is extremely interesting since he has created an alien threat without any actual aliens showing up. The story reads fast and the characters intriguing enough to keep your interest as your curiosity makes you turn the page to find out what happens to them next. An original tale that will keep you fascinated from page one until that last (wish there were more pages) written word.
