1.2 By accessing and/or using the Website, you accept the provisions contained in the Terms of Use. If you do not agree to the Terms of Use, you are not authorized to use the Website and you should leave immediately.
1.3 The Terms of Use are a binding agreement between each Registered user and The Coding Collective and they govern the use of, and access to, the Website and to any material contained therein.
2.1 You may access and use the Website
a. as an ordinary visitor (“Visitor”);
b. as a registered user (“Registered User”), after registering with the Website via the Sign Up link on the home page.
2.2 The contents of the Website are also available to Visitors.
2.3 By registering on the Website, you may post book reviews and other content, participate in discussions, send messages to other users, and build your own profile and library.
3.1 By accessing the Website you declare that you are of legal age or, if a minor, that you are in any case capable of performing all the activities involved in the use of the Website and consequently to accept the Terms of Use and any liability arising from the use of the Website. In any case, use of the Website is not permitted to anyone under the age of 14.
3.2 In some countries, access to the Website may be blocked for the purpose of ensuring compliance with applicable legislation. By accessing the Website, you agree never to attempt to circumvent any geo-blocking software.
4.1 When registering to the Website, you must provide your name and e-mail address. The name used for registration purposes may be a nickname.
4.2 Your e-mail address and any other data that – at your sole discretion – you choose to provide by filling in your profile must be truthful and up to date. You may update your data by accessing your profile on the Website.
4.3 You may not create or control more than one profile.
4.4 Access credentials must be kept confidential and not disclosed to anyone else. You will be held accountable for any activity performed on the Website through your access credentials.
4.5 You must immediately report to The Coding Collective any unauthorised use of your account or Website access credentials.
5.1 As a Registered User you may post content on the Website such as, but not limited to, book reviews or comments on other reviews (the "Content").
5.2 By registering on the Website, you grant The Coding Collective a free, non-exclusive license to use the Content you are posting or otherwise broadcasting or transmitting via the Website, including the right to publish, process, reproduce and distribute it.
5.3 As a Registered User, you also grant The Coding Collective the right to sub-license the rights to your Content to third parties, limitedly to the purposes set out in section 7.3.
5.4 This license is valid for an indefinite period of time and you may revoke it at any time by deleting the content posted by using the appropriate content editing controls. In the event of cancellation of the account for any reason whatsoever, you may request deletion of all content published by you by sending an email to legalnotices@anobii.com.
5.5 As a Registered User, you undertake not to post or otherwise broadcast via the Website:
a. content against the law or contrary to public order or morality, including content infringing industrial or intellectual property rights;
b. content that is offensive, intimidating or defamatory;
c. content promoting commercial activities;
d. files containing viruses, trojans, worms, cancelbots, damaged files or anything else that may damage, disable or impair the operation of the Website or cause damage to third parties;
e. spam messages.
5.6 Although the Content posted or broadcast by Registered Users is not previously checked or approved, The Coding Collective reserves the right to edit or remove any Content, as well as to suspend or delete with no prior notice the account of any Registered User breaching these Terms of Use.
5.7 You will be held fully accountable for any infringement you should commit through the use of the Website.
5.8 The Coding Collective has adopted a procedure to report unlawful conduct or breaches of the Terms of Use committed by Registered Users posting or broadcasting Content. Non-registered users may report infringements via legalnotices@anobii.com, detailing the nature of the infringement and providing the link(s) to the content in question. Following a complaint, The Coding Collective will take the measures it deems most appropriate to put an end to any infringement.
6.1 The Coding Collective disclaims all liability for any damage that may be caused to users’ computer equipment as a result of accessing or not being able to access the Website, including damage to users’ computer equipment caused by viruses.
6.2 The Coding Collective makes no representations or warranties to the effect that:
a. users will be able to use the Website, that the Website or its content will not be interrupted or will continue to be made available in its current form or in any other form;
b. the Website or any software available on or downloaded from the Website is free of viruses or defects and compatible with the users’ equipment.
6.3 The Coding Collective makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness or reliability of the information and materials contained in the Website.
6.4 The Website may contain references to products or services provided by third parties or links to external websites that are not operated by The Coding Collective. The Coding Collective cannot be held responsible for such contents. The Coding Collective provides no guarantee as to the content of the aforementioned websites and each user decides to access and consult them exclusively at his or her own risk.
6.5 Nothing in these Terms of Use will however exclude or limit The Coding Collective's liability arising from gross negligence or willful misconduct.
7.1 The entire content of the Website, including the design, text, layout, drawings, photos, videos, graphics and all other elements of the Website pages, as well as their selection and arrangement, are either the exclusive property of The Coding Collective, which holds the relevant copyright, or are included and used on the Website with the authorization of the legitimate holder of the relevant right. In particular, copyright on the Contents present on the Website is the exclusive property of the right holder concerned.
7.2 Any use, even partial, of the materials contained in the Website, including reproduction, adaptation, modification, translation, distribution or publication, is prohibited without prior written authorization from The Coding Collective or the owners of the rights to the Content.
7.3 Notwithstanding section 7.2 above, as a Registered User you may:
a. view and reproduce the pages of the Website of your interest, solely for your own personal use and not for direct or indirect commercial purposes;
b. reproduce individual Content for purposes of critical review, discussion, dissemination, as well as to promote the book reviewed, provided that such review is accompanied by the indication that such review was taken from the Website and by the name or nickname of the author, if stated on the Website.
7.4 For some books, the bibliographical data and cover image originally provided to The Coding Collective are copyright by Informazioni Editoriali I.E. Srl, or by the entity that granted a license to IE. All rights are reserved. IE shall not be held responsible for any changes made by The Coding Collective or by Registered Users to the data originally provided by IE.
7.5 You may not reproduce, download or exploit the Website or any of its Content in any way whatsoever without the prior written authorization of The Coding Collective or of the author of the Content concerned.
8.1 All trademarks and logos reproduced on the Website, including the domain name, are the exclusive property of either The Coding Collective or of third parties who have granted The Coding Collective the right to use them.
8.2 The use of the trademarks and logos referred to in section 8.1 is prohibited, unless expressly authorized in writing by The Coding Collective.
8.3 The “Anobii” trademark and logo may be used for the purpose of critical review, discussion and dissemination of the Website's activities.

9.2 The Coding Collective reserves the right to modify, at any time, the Website, these Terms of Use, as well as the availability of specific Content. 9.3 The Coding Collective also reserves the right to deny access to any user, suspend or delete their accounts, even without prior notice, for technical or security reasons – such as, but not limited to – preventing unauthorized access to the Website or the loss or destruction of data.
