Dickens en uno de mis autores preferidos desde que leí "David Copperfield". "Los papeles póstumos..." es un gran libro y los personajes realmente entrañables (incluso los no tan cándidos como Pickwick). La trama, sin embargo, no me acaba de enganchar.
He leído la traducción de Jose Mª Valverde, el cual ha hecho un trabajo magnífico, el hecho de que el lenguaje sea tan actual hace la lectura mucho más amena.
Un ottimo romanzo, ma la mia critica va al pessimo lavoro di traduzione presente nell'edizione "Oscar Mondadori"! Frequenti errori dovuti a distrazione (spero), dialoghi che non hanno senso, personaggi che cambiano nome senza un motivo. Pongo un esempio:
"L'avvocato Buzfuz pronunciò quest'ultima parola con un'enfasi terribile, dando sul tavolino un colpo tremendo con la mano ammirati all'avvocato , esprimendo insieme il disprezzo sdegnoso e lanciando un'occhiata a Dodson e Fogg, i quali s'inchinarono che nutrivano verso il querelato ."

Yes, this book is not perfect, it is uneven and shows clear signs of having been written in instalments over a long period of time. But it doesn't really matter, as long as you are prepared to leave all your postmodern cynicism behind, for once.
