'UK Ireland' to co-host Euro 2028 confirmed Turkiye-Italy to host Euro 2032

The four Commonwealth nations - England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales - and Ireland will co-host the European Football Association (UEFA) Euro 2028.

UEFA officially announced today that the United Kingdom and Ireland have been selected to host Euro 2028. Turkuye and Italy, who previously competed together but withdrew their bids, will co-host the next tournament, Euro 2032.

Northern Ireland, Wales, and Ireland will host their first major tournaments. England and Scotland were among the 11 nations that co-hosted Euro 2020, while England had previously hosted Euro 1996.

As a result, Euro 2028 will be staged at 10 venues in nine cities across five countries, including Wembley Stadium in England, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Cardiff Stadium in Wales, Hampton Park in Scotland, Belfast's Celtic Park in Northern Ireland, and Dublin Arena in Ireland.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is the home of Son Heung-min, while Cardiff Stadium was the venue for South Korea's away trial against Wales in September.

It has not yet been confirmed which of the five countries will host the opening match. Wales' Gareth Bale, who campaigned for England and Ireland to host the tournament, said: "I hope Cardiff will host a historic opening game. We want to showcase Wales' great stadiums and infrastructure to the world's soccer fans."

Euro 2028, meanwhile, will feature 24 teams from the European qualifiers and will take place from June to July 2028. 카지노사이트존
