The Recovery Baseball Team and the Jeju Seogwipo Brothers Baseball Team play a friendly game.
(SEOUL, Nov. 3) The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on Nov. 2 that it held a friendly game between the Recovery Baseball Team and the Seogwipo Brothers social baseball team in Seogwipo, Jeju Island.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government said on Wednesday that it organized a friendly game between the Recovery Baseball Team and the Seogwipo Brothers social baseball team in Seogwipo, Jeju Island, on Feb. 2.
The Recovery Baseball Team is a physical recovery program promoted by the ㈔Blue Whale Recovery Center, an organization that supports isolated and reclusive youth in Seoul, and has been training and playing friendly games with the city since last year.
In particular, Lee "Hulk" Man-soo, the first home run king of the Korean Baseball Organization and the No. 4 hitter of the Samsung Lions, visited Jeju to support the recovery baseball team, coaching them in training and managing friendly games.
Lee has been with the Blue Whale Recovery Center Baseball Team since its inception in 2019, helping isolated and reclusive youth gain confidence. He also serves as a governor of the 5149 League, a social baseball league for young adults who have participated in recovery baseball programs.
Kwon Hyuk-don, a former national youth baseball coach, and Han Sang-hoon, a former second baseman for the Hanwha Eagles, also lent their support.
The Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) heard about Recovery Baseball's training camps and friendly games, invited 30 youth from Recovery to the Kiwoom vs. NC game on September 21 and presented them with an autographed ball from President Heo Koo-yeon.
The Seogwipo Baseball Federation also helped by arranging a venue and donating 80 T-shirts, and the community of Harye-ri Village showed warm encouragement through activity programs such as exploring the Gosali Forest Trail and healing expeditions in the valley, as well as providing meals.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Recovery Center will continue to work with the Recovery Baseball Team and provide active support for isolated and reclusive youth.
"Through baseball, one of the most representative team sports, isolated and reclusive youth are beginning to communicate with various people and are gradually connecting with society," said Kim Chul-hee, head of Seoul's Future Youth Initiative. 카지노사이트존
