Teammate Bohartz is out with a broken shoulder

The San Diego club put forward Tyler Wade instead of Kim Ha-sung as its starting shortstop in an away game against the Cincinnati Reds in the 2024 U.S. Major League Baseball at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, on the 23rd (Korea time).

Before the game, Kim Ha-sung started all 51 games played by San Diego this season.

He played both the Atlanta Braves and the double header on the 21st, and there was a dizzying scene in which he was hit on the back of his left hand by a pitch against the Los Angeles Dodgers on the 13th, but he showed unusual mental strength by starting against the Colorado Rockies the next day.

The San Diego club seems to have decided that Kim Ha-sung, who has been running non-stop, needs a break.

CBS Sports in the U.S. said, "It seems to be a simple management decision."

On the other hand, Sander Bohartz, who forms a keystone combination with Kim Ha-sung, injured his shoulder and was forced to miss the game for a long time.

The San Diego club said on the same day, "Bohartz has been found to have a fracture in his left shoulder," adding, "We will conduct additional checkups to determine his condition more accurately."

Bohartz injured his shoulder during defense in the first round of the doubleheader against Atlanta on the 21st.

Initially, Bohartz was known to have been slightly injured, but a close examination revealed a major abnormality.

The Athletic, a U.S. media outlet, said, "Bohartz will not be able to play for months."

Luis Aras, who was acquired in a trade earlier this month, was in charge of the second baseman against Cincinnati.

Araes, who played for the Miami Marlins, transferred to San Diego on the 4th through a trade in exchange for a total of four players, including Ko Woo-suk.먹튀검증

Araes was the batting champion in 2022 and 2023, playing mostly as a designated hitter after moving to San Diego.
